Tasting Events – some feedback

Ampthill & Flitwick Flyers Tasting 22nd Jan 2010

“A heartfelt thank you from myself and all those who attended last night’s Wine Tasting. Once again you produced a fascinating and very interesting series of insights into the mysteries of drinking and appreciating decent wine.

Once again thank you. It was a cracking evening.”

Case & Cellar Club, Horsham 15th January 2010

‘Caroline was a resounding success which resulted in a super evening. Everyone I spoke to really enjoyed her presentation and found the wines interesting.  Her knowledge of the Eastern block was amazing and we had a geography lesson as well as wine production.  As usual you come up with another gem!’

and some more:

“We had a committee meeting last night and everyone was very complimentary about Caroline and also mentioned that all the reports from members were extremely pleased with her presentation and knowledge.  Please pass our thanks on to Caroline and I am sure we would like her to come to our Club again in the future.”

Hungarian Wine Dinner Phyllis Court Club 25th March 2009

Caroline was an absolute star with her excellent presentational skills and her very friendly delivery to the members of the Wine Circle. Members came up to me at the end of the evening to complement the committee on the choice of speaker and it was agreed that Caroline would be very welcome back in the future.

Hungary Tasting for Sittingbourne Fine Wine Society Feb 2009

Many thanks for the splendid wine tasting last Saturday

Italian Tasting for Stratford Grape Club Jan 2009

We thoroughly enjoyed your presentation of Italian wines. The wine information was pitched just at the right level for our members, I am sure they were impressed by your obvious enthusiasm for the country and its wines. The range of wines had just the right balance between fruit and power, which is not always the case with Italian wine tastings. All in all, another excellent tasting, from a top presenter!

Hungarian Tasting for Welwyn Wine Society Sept 2008

That was a very good tasting!  The feedback I received from members was ‘excellent tasting and when can the speaker return!’.   I even noticed one of the two elderly gentlemen (who at the earlier stages, didn’t seem to be too impressed….and there are always some!) talking to you about his liking of  a particular Hungarian wine;   so you won them over as well!  It was very interesting to get the background of the new beginning of Hungarian wine making and to enjoy the very good wines they are now producing.  Some of our diehard New World  wine drinkers were very impressed.”

Mayfield Wine Society April 2008

“I would like to thank you for arranging such a fascinating talk for us on Tuesday evening.  Please pass on our thanks to Caroline, for what was an interesting presentation.  As I imagine you could tell, the only frustrating thing for us what the potential difficulty in obtaining such fine wines.”

Bradford Bronte Rotary, Feb 2008

the evening was a real success and I received many positive comments.  Many thanks once again to your team for your presentation and the wonderful wines

Stratford Grape Club, Nov 2007

“just coming back to you on the tasting last night. We had an excellent tasting, very impressed with Caroline, good natural, relaxed speaker with a lot of enthusiasm.  We were also very taken with Tamas, unfortunately he did arrive a little late, however he soon installed himself, making valuable contributions without detracting from Caroline’s presentation.  In fact I am sure some of our audience was completely unaware of the fact that the speakers had never done a joint presentation, such was the professionalism shown by Caroline & Tamas”

Tamas Illes ( Export Manager Pannonhalma Abbey winery, Hungary) Nov 2007

“I enjoyed the tasting very much, it was a real pleasure to work together with Caroline that evening; I think we completed each other well, she speaks beautiful about the Hungarian wines”

(George) W. J. Bergier Chairman – Guild of Sommeliers Manchester ‘
“Following the tasting, week ago on Monday, I have had a numerous comments and words of commendation for the Hungarian presentation and tasting you have so kindly arranged for us.  All members present expressed thanks to the Committee for staging this tasting and could not get over the knowledge of the subject Caroline possesses. To have a MW presenting the wines, and following Caroline’s almost a lecture, it was the most educational presentation we have had for a very long time”

VinSprit Sweden, Bulgarian Seminar May 2006

Thank you so much for coming here last week. It all went as we hoped except that we would have liked more journalists to attend, but that is always a problem with these kind of events. Those who did attend were all very happy and learned a lot about a subject that is normally not very well covered in the wine press. And I got some good examples for my upcoming MW exam…
