Three things to share today. First my latest small contribution to Decanter as part of its feature on wine from Central & Eastern Europe ( CEE). As Angela Muir points out in her introduction, this is an area whose “output rivals the whole of South America” and yet our wine columns and shops are full of South American wine with “poor old CEE nowhere to be seen”. I do sometimes feel like a lone voice in the wilderness proclaiming the huge changes for the better, and discussing the exciting wines to be found here nowadays. I just have to hope that with more and more Brits jetting off to places like Budapest for weekend breaks, and probably enjoying the wine when they get there that perhaps attitudes will change.
